PSYC 808 Theories and Techniques of Individual Behavior Change
This course is designed to teach students the psychological theories, skills and techniques that are the basis for clinical work in the field of clinical community psychology. The theories provide the framework for conceptualizing the problem presented in therapy and the skills and techniques are used to facilitate the change that is desired. Therapists use theories, specialized skills and techniques in tandem in the process of counseling. The course will provide an understanding of the nature of the clinical work in practical and applied ways.
