PSYC 800 Advanced Developmental Psychology

This course provides an overview of the conditions, processes, and factors that shape human development across the lifespan, including the major theoretical perspectives, as well as emerging ideas and knowledge. A considerable portion of the course will also be dedicated to a critical review of these mainstream ideas and psychological frameworks within developmental psychology. Special emphasis will be placed on the role of culture in the developmental process, with specific attention to Caribbean culture.
