Dr. Lucian Peters is an Assistant Professor within the Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Department in the School of Veterinary Medicine, and is a Senior Clinician at the Small Animal Clinic. For Dr. Peters, clinical medicine affords her the opportunity to interact closely with veterinary medical students, veterinary specialists on faculty, and the local community of pet owners seeking preventive and medical care.
Dr. Peters has contributed to ongoing research at St. George’s University and collaborates with other faculty members in several other projects. As a veterinarian, Dr. Peters helps to train future vets to serve the international community’s evolving needs. With the One Health, One Medicine concept ascending in importance globally, Dr. Peters participates in SVM initiatives and student groups that focus on addressing these interests.
Dr. Peters earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, in 2007 – the first native Grenadian to graduate from the school. She also obtained her MSc and BSc from SGU in 2015 and 2002 respectively.
