Dr. Katharine Simpson is an Associate Professor, Food Animal Medicine and Surgery, in the Department of Large Animal Medicine and Surgery. Her research areas include bovine lameness and digital disease, regional intravenous perfusion in cattle, urolithiasis in small ruminants, ultrasonography in food and fiber species, neonatology, and bovine gastrointestinal disease.
Dr. Simpson earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2006 and Master of Science from Oklahoma State University in 2013. She also received American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) residency and board certification in large animal internal medicine from Oklahoma State University in 2010.
