Wendy Lee, MD, MPH ’02
Giving Back to Medicine Through Missionary Work
A 2002 SGU graduate, Dr. Lee completed her clinical rotations in New York at Long Island College Hospital and King’s Country Hospital Center, in Florida at Miami Children’s Hospital, and in Maryland, at Johns Hopkins University, Harbor Hospital, St. Agnes, and Maryland General. She did her internship in internal medicine at Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore, MD, and did not finish residency due to illness.
Still thankful for the opportunity Saint George’s University gave her, Dr. Lee worked a decade at Westat in Clinical Research, with many projects, international and domestic, US government, private, and academic, with periodic Christian missions trips, including working at a displacement camp clinic in Kabul, Afghanistan. Dr. Lee left Westat to step into full-time Christian missionary work with her husband, a church planter in 2014 and continues to look for a way to be a blessing to others.
