COMP 221 Introduction to Robotics
This course will serve as a general introduction for students to acquire a foundation in current network technologies for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and the Internet. The course will provide an introduction to the hardware, software, terminology, components, design, and connections of a network, as well as the topologies and protocols for LANs. It will cover LAN-user concepts and the basic functions of system administration and operation. The emphasis of the course would be on hardware and protocols. Special attention will be given to MAC addressing and ports, and IP sub-netting. The course is intended for those who will support or administer networks. This course will use a combination of lectures, demonstrations, discussion, and handIn today’s technology-driven world, it is important to prepare the students for the future. This course is an introduction to Robotics through which students can increase their ability to be creative and innovative thinkers. This is a lab-based course that uses a hands-on approach to introduce the basic concepts of Robotics, and topics necessary to understand the fundamentals of designing, building, and programming robots. s-on labs.
