4-Year DVM Program
Overview
SGU’s School of Veterinary Medicine, a veterinary medical school, offers a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree program that provides both practical and critical thinking skills needed to succeed as a practicing veterinarian.
With an emphasis in clinical instruction and case-based teaching, SGU’s DVM program combines three years of coursework and hands-on laboratory sessions in Grenada plus one year of clinical training at one of our 30+ affiliated universities in the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, and the Netherlands.
A Curriculum to Prepare You to Succeed
Emphasizing case-based teaching and hands-on learning, SGU’s curriculum is designed to engage and prepare aspiring veterinarians for success in modern practice.
The first three terms focus on healthy animals and disease processes, and terms 4, 5 and 6 focus on clinical case management.
The final year includes 48 weeks of clinical training delivered at one of our affiliated and AVMA-accredited veterinary medical schools.
