Dr. Narindra H. Roopnarine lectures and leads the laboratory sessions in the Department of Veterinary Anatomy, Physiology and Pharmacology, at St George’s University. He is the supervisory chair of graduate students. He serves as a member of the SVM’s Assessment, Graduate Affairs and Awards committees, and plays an active role in the Curriculum Development Team. He is also a faculty mentor/advisor to DVM students.

Dr. Roopnarine graduated with a DVM (Hons) degree in 2016 and has practiced as a veterinary clinician in Trinidad, and at SGU’s Small Animal Clinic. After completing post graduate studies at SGU in 2021, he earned a MSc degree in Veterinary Anatomy. Dr. Roopnarine has been conducting research on the reproductive biology of male avian and reptilian species and has achieved publications on sperm structure and development. He has been contributing to the research in innovative methods to deliver the Anatomy program. He aims to complete a Doctorate, while lecturing and conducting research.

Besides academia, Dr. Roopnarine is an active member in various sporting activities and has a strong belief in well-roundedness. He loves to train at the gym and run. He holds a black belt and is an assistant instructor of kick boxing. You can find him quite often at the beach getting in that Vitamin D.
