SAMS 537 Small Animal Clinical Nutrition

This course provides students with advanced training in small animal clinical nutrition through the use of interactive clinical case discussions and a hands-on body condition scoring lab. The goal of the course is to train students to critically evaluate every patient based on nutritional needs so that they may incorporate nutritional management into their daily practice based on the ever-changing societal expectations. Students will also learn the importance of incorporating evidenced-based science into their veterinary practice.
