Vice Provost for Institutional Advancement
As vice provost of St. George’s University, Brendon La Grenade, BSc ’05, MIB ’06, MBA ’07, leads University-wide examination services, the SGU Physician Humanitarian Network (SGU-PHuN), and Hospital Support Services. He works closely with the Office of the Provost and University leadership, supporting areas of academic and non-academic program development and implementation. Dr. La Grenade is also involved in government relations and works directly with ministries, ministers, and other key external personnel.
Joining SGU in 2007, Dr. La Grenade was tasked primarily with developing SGU-PHuN (then called the Virtual Hospital Program), now a successful, University-Government collaboration providing voluntary specialized medical healthcare, medical education, and material support to improve healthcare delivery in Grenada. Additionally, he works closely with SGU Alumni Affairs to enhance the University’s alumni network by promoting improved employment and recruitment opportunities and increasing the overall reach and success of SGU and its alumni.
Dr. La Grenade has served on and chaired a number of boards and committees including the Grenada General Hospital Board of Directors, the SGU Monitoring Committee, the Ministry of Health, Ministers Advisory Committee, the Provost Advisory Committee, SGU-Ministry of Health Joint Advisory Committee, SGU University Council of Deans, and the Grenada Hospital Authority.
A proud Grenadian and second-generation alumnus of SGU, Dr. La Grenade earned both his Bachelor of Science in medical sciences and his Master of Business Administration and International Business at SGU, before completing his Doctor of Education.
