LAMS 501 Veterinary Physical Diagnosis II

This 3rd term course, the corollary to LAMS 502 in term 1, is designed to instruct students in the fundamentals of physical diagnosis in the equine and bovine patient, utilizing a variety of techniques including hands-on laboratories, simulation laboratories and case-based teaching.  Additional goals of the course include development of medical math skills, introduction of basic clinical competencies and musculoskeletal and gastrointestinal specific examination skills, to review common disease presentations of large animals and to introduce and practice clinical reasoning skills. Case simulation projects allow development of skills related to teamwork and communication.
